Westfield State University Communication Department to host program on career opportunities

WESTFIELD – Westfield State University Communication department will host an exploratory day of communication careers, “One Degree…So Many Careers," on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 8:45 – 9:45 a.m. at University Hall.


Opportunities in the communication field are immense and continue to grow.


Students attending this event will have the chance to hear from experts in the communications industry and gain valuable knowledge of real-world opportunities related to their career goals. The Communication Department will showcase and offer guidance on a variety of occupations in the communication field through tours and the introduction of career experts.


Keynote speakers include Holyoke entrepreneur Mychal Connolly, owner and creator of Stand Out Truck, and Communication Department alumnae, Kiana Lowe of ESPN.

 

In addition, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., the Communication Department, 3rd floor, Ely Building, will offer tours of the TV station, radio station, The Voice, campus newspaper, and classrooms.
