Western Massachusetts Council Welcomes our new Scout Executive: Craig Sims

On behalf of the Executive Board, I am pleased to announce that we have hired Craig Sims as our new Scout Executive.

Craig comes to us with a plethora of experience. He owned his own surfboard manufacturing company for many years before joining the Boy Scouts as a professional. His time in the profession included service as a Senior District Executive in the Del-Mar-Va Council and the Chief of Operations and Assistant Scout Executive in the Chester County Council.

As a result of COVID, Craig’s position was eliminated. Since then, he has been

spending time raising money for The Delaware Botanic Gardens and most recently at Colby College. He always had a desire to return to the world of professional Scouting.

We are excited to welcome Craig back to the Scouting profession. He will be starting his new position on February 16, 2025. Please welcome Craig and his wife Beth to the council when you see them.
