Each year, Baystate Health welcomes more than 250 new nurses to the team – many of these nurses fresh off their educational experience. These nurses, along with our more senior nursing team members, require training to hone their skills, learn about quickly evolving healthcare procedures and treatments, and be ready to act nimbly in a patient care setting.
To meet this critical need and support the dedicated nurses of today and tomorrow, Baystate Health is developing the Center for Nursing Excellence and Innovation at Baystate Medical Center. The new space builds upon a rich history of nursing education dating back to Springfield School of Nursing in the 1890s. This system-wide training center will house simulation bays complete with life-like mannequins to replicate the hospital experience and an educational space to host classes, workshops, and lectures.
Join Chief Nurse Executive Joanne Miller for an inside look into this exciting new project and the impact it will have on nurses throughout Baystate Health. Wednesday, February 1, 2023 12 to12:45 pm |
