Sixth Graders to Tour Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport
• Thursday May 19 and Friday May 20, 2022; 8:30-11:30 AM at Westfield Barnes Regional Airport, 110 Airport Road, Westfield.
Westfield Middle School grade 6 students will be touring Westfield-Barnes Regional Airport on Thursday and Friday this week, and the Airport has much in store for the visit.
The students will visit a maintenance hangar, and take in the sights of several static aircraft. They will be presented various aviation educational outreach opportunities, and fly the WMASS Wright Flight Simulator.
Six industry professionals, including an Aerospace Engineer, a Pilot, an Aircraft Mechanic and Air Traffic Controller, will offer brief presentations regarding career opportunities. The Air Force and Airport Management will also be available to provide career path information and answer any questions.
