Eclectic Finds at the Bismarck to host Ribbon-Cutting and Grand Opening Celebration
Westfield – Once the home of the historic Bismarck Hotel, 16 Union Avenue will once again open its doors as a new business co-operative, Eclectic Finds at the Bismarck, will celebrate their grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Mother’s Day Weekend.
True to its name, Eclectic Finds at the Bismarck is a co-operative shop featuring an array of unique items curated and created by professionals specializing in home décor, furniture, and gifts. The new store features fresh florals and plants by Bouquets of the Valley, Vintage and vintage inspired salvage and curated finds by The Bleu Willow, Painted furniture Highland House Design and Vintage Painted Whimsey, as well as M’s Creations. There is also custom woodworking by Hadley Mill Works Custom Wood Shop.
After seven years of being a contracted vendor at Pilgrim Candle, Laura Daly-Kelleher of Highland House Design was encouraged by Pilgrim Candle Owners Joe and Donna Shibley to use the available space at the Bismarck Hotel for her custom furniture refinishing business, and to occasionally open the doors to welcome foot traffic. Laura took the opportunity to work in the large space, and in November of 2022 began to assemble the team of artisans and business owners to create the new shop “The Bismarck is the aesthetically perfect backdrop for the group of businesses that are now in the space,” said Daly-Kelleher, “We are so grateful to Donna and Joe for being so encouraging of the idea and are so excited to open the doors.”
Westfield Mayor Michael McCabe will welcome the new business to Westfield with a ribbon- cutting ceremony at 3:30 on Friday, May 12. The ceremony will kick off the Grand Opening and give guests the first opportunity to tour the shops and its offerings while enjoying some refreshment. The store will be open Saturday, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM, and will round out the celebration weekend with special Mother’s Day hours on Sunday, May 14th,11:00 AM-4:00 PM. There will be specials throughout the store, and all owners will be on site to answer any questions.
Eclectic Finds at the Bismarck is open weekly, Wednesday – Saturday from 11:00-4:00 PM.
