Amelia Park Arena is launching a fundraising campaign with a goal of $100,000 by the end of April 2026.
Amelia Park Arena is set to launch a major fundraising campaign to help with the purchase of two new compressors for the facility. The compressors are the core piece of equipment that maintains the ice surface and allows the rink to operate. The project is set for April 2026, and is a massive expenditure for the arena at $250,000. Amelia Park is turning to the community for funding assistance as they look to ease the financial burden of the project. As a non-profit organization, the arena’s main goal is to keep the pricing of youth programs affordable for the community. Over the past three years, Amelia Park has seen over 1000 children participate in their new youth based programs. General Manager Billy Fellows started in July of 2022, and had this to say on new programming, “We have made a strong effort to provide as many programs and events as we can for the local children. Al Ferst’s vision was to make Amelia Park an incredible resource for our youth, and we have been working extremely hard to live up to that expectation.” Fellows believes a key component of the success of new programming has been the affordability, “Despite the tough state of the economy, we have been able to raise enough money through sponsorships and events to keep our pricing very reasonable for families. A project of this size is in danger of severely affecting that.” To avoid any disruption in youth programming, Amelia Park Arena is setting a fundraising goal of $100,000 over the next six months. The campaign has been kicked off with an extremely generous donation of $5,000 from Balise Toyota of West Springfield, and a $5,000 match from Toyota Corporate. The rink looks to continue the fundraiser momentum and keep the facility an A+ resource for the community. Amelia Park Arena is asking for your support of their non-profit organization, gifts of all amounts will be greatly appreciated. Checks can be made payable to Amelia Park Arena and mailed to 21 S. Broad St. Westfield, MA 01085. Online donation info available at www.ameliaparkarena.org/compressorfundraiser. Amelia Park thanks you in advance for your generosity.
